Tirupati: ‘Govinda Dhamam’ the only one eco-friendly LPG gas-based crematorium here in the city went high-tech. The modern crematorium which came into existence two years back in the city at Vinayak Sagar on Akkarampalli road is introducing online facility from Sunday for availing its service, which is now being provided on request in person or over phone on payment basis of Rs 5,000 for cremation. MPSS representative MN Siva Kumar said that the online facility will be launched at a function to be held on the occasion of the newly elected office bearers taking charge on Sunday. To mark the occasion, he said the newly elected executive members also apply for voluntary organ donation as part of the MPSS aggressive campaign taken up for promoting organ donation which is still to pick up the country. He informed that M Nageswar Rao has been elected as the president of MPSS. Tirupati MLA Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and Municipal Corporation Commissioner PS Girisha will participate in the function as chief guests. The newly elected president M Nageswar Rao, who was present announced Rs one lakh donation for construction of dining hall in the crematorium complex.
