first_imgThe Pukpuks thrashed American Samoa 47-0 in their opening match and then followed this up with a 52-0 thumping of the Solomon Islands.The Pukpuks led 28-0 at halftime and piled on a further 19 more points in the second half against American Samoa.Tries went to Emmanuel Guise who bagged two, Henry Kalua, Tisa Kautu, Buttler Morris, Hensley Peter and Wesley Vali who all scored one try each.The Pukpuks will play their third match against Samoa today at 4:18pm (7:18pm PNG time).last_img

first_imgAn annual gold panning competition in Taylor is just around the corner.The 39th annual Gold Panning Competition begins Saturday, July 30, with the event taking place all weekend long and wrapping up on Sunday evening.- Advertisement -The event begins Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with a parade, which will start at the community hall, then continues at Peace Island Park.The competition kicks off Saturday afternoon, with a media/celebrity category, a Juvenile category and a Class “B” category.
