When Harbaugh coached at Stanford, the Cardinal were one of the toughest teams in the nation. To this day, Stanford has maintained that tradition of toughness.Then when Harbaugh moved to the NFL with the 49ers, that toughness helped lead the team to the Super Bowl.So what’s going on with Michigan? Talent certainly isn’t the issue. But the Wolverines haven’t been competitive against top-ranked teams under Harbaugh. Not to mention it’s been a while since UM took down Ohio State.The Wolverines still have a chance to turn things around this season. But they’ll need to regain that tough identity Harbaugh’s always been known for. There’s certainly offensive issues — specifically at quarterback. Others think Michigan simply isn’t tough enough in games.
